10/7/05 06:08 pm - Great Expectations

And if it rains all day
Call on you I’ll call on you
Like I used to
Slide down beside and wrap you in stories
Tailored entirely for you
I’ll remind you
We exchanged a vow
I love you I always will

A call girl with yesterday eyes
Was our witness and priest
Stockport supporters club kindly provided a choir
Your vow was your smile
As we move down the isle
Of the last bus home
And this is where I go
Just when it rains

Blinking and stoned
Rain in your hair
You only smoke ‘cause it’s something to share
Singing bring on the night
To have and to hold
The sodium light turning silver to gold

Spitfire thin and strung like a violin
I was
Yours was the face with a grace
From a different age
You were the sun in my Sunday morning
You were the sun in my Sunday morning
Telling me never to go
So I’ll live on the smile
And move down the isle
Of the last bus home
And if you’re running late
This is where I’ll go
Know I’ll always wait

¨List five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they're listening to.¨

1. Coldplay - Fix You
2. The Shins - New Slang
3. The Mars Volta - L' Via L' Viaquez
4. Eliott Smith - Tomorrow Tomorrow
5. Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

I joined the RWYB 2005 race in Subic and won 2nd!  And yes, there were more than 2 of us on the track.  And it was my first time on this track too!  Go me!  I lost by .03 seconds to officemate and all around tuner spiceboy of T&T, Angelo. If there's anything worse than placing 2nd, it's losing by less than a second.  It was pretty fun, though the fear of destroying my car will probably keep me from joining round 2 in July. Thanks to [info]igzmeister  for the pics.  Oh, I also went to Boracay for free, but that's another story.

4/4/05 01:41 pm - Hugs, Cigarettes and Rock and Roll

Had band practice yesterday, being complete again after what, 7 months? Everything felt so natural, like the 7 months never happened. We finished Julian's song and had a taste of Miguel's composition. I missed that feeling, the tingling sensation I get when Jules nails the perfect riff, when Miguel inserts the perfect bass progression at the right time, and Fred keeping everyone from getting excited and playing too fast again; the fact that 4 guys are playing individually, yet as one. And when everyone is in perfect synchronization and harmony at just the right moment... bliss.

Making music. Good music.

It's nice to know that after 7 months of being stagnant, we can still rock :)

3/21/05 11:51 am - Black Star

Lots of surprises this week, not all pleasant.

i get home from work and you're still standing in your dressing gown
well what am i to do?
i know all the things around your head and what they do to you.
what are we coming to?
what are we gonna do?

blame it on the black star
blame it on the falling sky
blame it on the satellite that beams me home.

the troubled words of a troubled mind i try to understand what is eating you.
i try to stay awake but its 58hours since that i last slept with you.
what are we coming to?
i just don't know anymore.

i get on the train and i just stand about now that i don't think of you.
i keep falling over i keep passing out when i see a face like you.
what am i coming to?
i'm gonna melt down

This is long, long overdue.

Here I am, nursing a horrible 5 day cold; and I have a few guesses as to why my faucet-nose won't shut off... in fact, I think I know exactly why.  Allow me to elaborate further.

I've been to 5 different beaches in the past 4 weeks.  It's been a blast of course, and apparently a tremendous strain on my immune system.  I'd say it's pretty worth it though :)  Warning: Tons o' large pics

I don't have all the pics, but I'll update as soon as I get them )

2/18/05 11:40 am - Shit Happens

I just found out that all the shit from every single house in Ayala Alabang goes to one central giant septic tank, and this tank is located somewhere in Dingalan street.. hopefully not near our water supply.  Can you imagine how much shit that is?  Where does it all go?  To the sea?  How come I've never seen people pumping that shit out?

Which leads to my other thought.... take a good look at all the people you see on the streets, in school, in malls etc.  Then imagine that each of them shat on an average of once a day, do you ever wonder how big that pile of shit is? DAAAAYM!  That's a lot of shit.

I just realized how gay my last post was.. don't mind me while I subtley push it down.

2/4/05 02:00 am

Since nothing exciting is happening in my life these days, it's time for more quizzes!

I got this from Luke's site:

The Disney Movie Trivia Test!

Disney Ruler!
Congratulations! You scored 90%!

What can I say, I know my Disney :)

and from the same page:

The Are You A Music Expert Test

I got

Musically Cultured
All right - the grade you have earned is 77!

The Musically Cultured person has definately spent some time learning music, history, theory and facts about it. He or she will be able to relate well to musicians. Quite possibly this person also plays an instrument. Or you're just a music nerd.

Ok enough of that.. time for bed :)
